It was a great 2012 spring for our Mundo Niños project. Thanks to our collaborator, electronic artist Tarek Atoui, we had the wonderful opportunity to hold workshops with the Bidoun children, a nomadic community in the Emirates while at the Sharjah Art Foundation in March. Here are some of the photos taken during many wonderful moments of music with them. These children were so warm, enthusiastic and love music. It was a very joyful time.
We then came home to do a workshop a week with 1st graders, 5th graders and highschool students at Woodstock Day School in April on Philippine and Cuban percussion, Songs and Mixed Media. They were all terrific, such a great community to be a part of.
